Welcome to my personal website ! I am Chinmay Dhekne, living in Pune, Maharashtra, India. I thought a lot about what to include in my first blog-post. Then I reached to the conclusion that I might as well introduce myself to my readers.
So, I live in Pune, which is located about 180 km from Mumbai, better known as the Oxford of the East. I have completed my Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Pune, in May 2013. I hail from a middle class Hindu background, my father being an Electronics Engineer whereas my mother, a computer engineer, just like me.
Like any other aspiring computer engineer, I immersed myself into the world of technology, trying to find out newer methods and ways to solve the technological problem on hand. I tasted major success due to my Final year project. Not only was it one of the finest projects from our batch, it also won accolades in project competitions, seminars, etc. But the icing on the cake was when our project group was invited to "The Institution of Engineers" and were felicitated on the eve of World Telecom Day for the best upcoming project by Undergraduate students in the field of Intelligent Systems and Machine Learning. During this time, I published two research papers based on my project in noted International Conferences and Journals.
I am also involved in writing for another blog in collaboration with my friend. This other blog talks about the GRE, TOEFL exams, and the complete timeline for an aspiring MS/PhD student is explained substantially in that Blog. This blog is called "Engineering Study-INDIA to USA".
Well, this is a short introduction about me. In my subsequent posts, I will be writing articles on varied subjects, ranging from education, to literature, to social topics, and also various advancement in technologies.
